Okay, long story short - life is exploding. The DM of the game I play in, and her husband (who is also a friend of me and my girlfriend), are having some very bad marital problems. That is their business, so I won't get into it here.
However, all of this affects game. Of course, that is the least of any of our concerns (we as friends are just worried about them). But I am aware that this is going to affect gaming somehow, so I need to talk that out for myself here, just in case the worst happens.
DM's husband plays in her game, so I bet that one might be ending soon, if we play another session at all. Or maybe she'll just kick his character out, I dunno. Regardless, that is the game I play Tanisevania in *points to current avatar*, and I might not get closure for her as a character. In that case, I mean if that happens (which I would totally understand, seeing what DM is going through), I'll write something up that explains what I think would have happened to Tanisevania, and probably draw something about it too. And if my llady wants, and figures out what would happen to Kaleena, I'll do the same for her character.
As for my game, that's also up in the air. DM's husband plays in it, and while I'm going to try to still be friends with him, what he's done is pretty unforgivable. We're going to hear him out, but there is a very real possibility that I won't want him in my game anymore. This is after losing one other player, which would bring my group down to two - me and my girlfriend. I'm still determined to NOT put my game on hiatus again, since I've put so much work into it, so if that happens I will have to ask around and see if anyone I know is interested in joining my campaign. I might also ask DM to join it, cause I think in that case her game might have also been cancelled (like I think the two bad situations might go hand-in-hand) and I know she'll want a form of escape, any form of escape. I could also advertise at the local gaming shop for players. I know the owner, and he has a corkboard for people to advertise shit on, so I'm sure I could get him to let me put fliers up.
Soooo yeah. At least I have a tentative plan.
As for character-stuff, Tanisevania and the others are out of the Mage Academy and on their way to another tower to rescue this random girl, then onto the fighting tournament. If we play again, I'll keep you posted.
And as for my next character, Nielsa.....well, DM's husband was supposed to run that game, and now I don't know if a) he'll run it at all, or b) if we'll be invited. If for some reason I don't get to use her as a PC, she'll definitely be an NPC in one of my campaigns. I also came up with an interesting concept for her fighting/dancing style. As some of you might have noticed from all the notes I posted about her, her two passions in life are fighting and dancing, and the way she fights looks very much like the way she dances. I've also been interested, at least a little bit, in fan etiquette and the use of fans for other things than cooling yourself. So, with that in mind, I've decided that her preferred style of dancing is fan-dancing (think Memoirs of a Geisha, people), and she fights with War Fans in a similar fashion. Bad. Ass. Will have to draw that soon, and post a link here.
That's pretty much it. As usual, we'll just see what happens.
